A platform where food and beverage suppliers and buyers do business. My work was mostly about making it talk to everyone else's systems, and making it scale as suppliers joined.

Exchanges a year through the integration layer I designed, which moves orders, invoices and price lists to and from suppliers automatically — so adding a new supplier became a settings change instead of a development project.

Rows a run through the supplier catalogue pipeline, turning feeds from 26 distributors into one clean list of 20,000 products — 85% of the duplicates removed.

API endpoints and the data model behind them, keeping 295 customer accounts securely separated from one another.
Audit
Built the audit dashboards operations works from — every order, invoice and catalogue change traced back to who made it and when, so disputes with suppliers are settled from the record rather than from memory.

Commercial Real Estate (Virtual Office & OnDemand Workspace) · GeekyAnts · 2021 – 2025
Three years on WeWork India’s Virtual Office — using a WeWork address as your registered business and GST address, start to finish online. Also day passes and conference room bookings on the OnDemand platform.
Owned
Developed the core Business Address, GST registration and Company Registration workflows by integrating legal document execution and KYC flows , enabling customers to complete the entire onboarding process online

Recurring production issues, cut by investigating root causes and writing them up properly rather than patching symptoms — a 96% drop.
SSO
Built a single sign-on integration with a partner platform so customers stopped re-entering identity details they'd already provided, which made the verification step noticeably less painful to finish.
Handover
Led the migration and handover of the product to an external partner platform, moving the old database to read-only so there was never any question of which system was authoritative.

Hello, I’m Joyan
I'm a Product Engineer based in Bengaluru — full-stack, with the most depth on the backend. I've spent my career at GeekyAnts, a product engineering studio, embedded in client teams, long enough on each product to see my own decisions age.
Most of my work sits in the unglamorous middle of a business: order flows, catalogues, payments, customer verification, and the integrations that connect one company's software to another's. It's the kind of work where getting it wrong is expensive and getting it right is invisible, which I've come to enjoy.
I mentor newer engineers on design decisions, API engineering and technical ownership.
Outside work I'm playing video games — Wolfenstein above all — reading history and fantasy, or watching Manchester United play. The first two overlap more than you'd expect; the third is an exercise in patience.
